It is very important to call as soon as possible after you have experienced a loss of any kind even if you are not sure there is coverage. Both our number and your agent’s name and phone number can be found at the top of the Declarations Page of your policy.

Please have as much of the following information available when reporting the claim as possible:

  • Name and Address
  • Policy Number
  • Phone Number
  • Date of Loss
  • Location and
  • Description of Loss
  • Police report if applicable
  • What caused the Loss

Some questions you may ask:

  1. Is there coverage on the policy for the loss?
  2. How long does it normally take to process a claim?
  3. Do I need to obtain estimates for repairs?
  4. What is my deductible and does that apply to this loss?

Protect Your Property

As with any type of loss just keep in mind it is your responsibility to take reasonable steps to protect your property from any further damage.  After a loss it is very important to take temporary steps to protect your property until we can get an adjuster out to take a look at the loss. Any reasonable costs incurred by you to protect your covered property would be reimbursed as long as you save receipts.
